Harrah’s Atlantic City To Open Wednesday; Here’s What You Need To Know
Harrah’s follows the Borgata and Ocean Resort casino properties in opening their sportsbook. The most recent sportsbook to launch was at the Caesars-owned Wild Wild West casino, which started taking wagers on July 30th.
Under New Jersey sports betting law, casinos may operate their sportsbooks in temporary facilities while building a permanent venue. Both temporary sportsbooks are similar in layout, with Harrah’s featuring 28 leather chairs, six hightops, and five screens with additional televisions expected. The book will be located next to the Total Rewards Center.
In a press release, it was revealed that “over the course of the next nine months, Caesars Entertainment will be building out the facilities to create the same world-class sports betting experiences currently available at its properties in Nevada.”
Mobile Sports Betting In Near Future
This sports betting experience will eventually include both mobile and online wagering options through the Caesars Casino & Sports mobile app. The corporation has partnered with Scientific Games and will utilize their OpenBet sportsbook platform to operate their sportsbooks.
"We're thrilled to partner with Caesars to help them bring best-in-class sports wagering experiences to their players. With OpenBet, our powerful and robust sportsbook platform, Caesars will have a truly open platform,” stated Barry Cottle, President of Scientific Games. “Our SG Digital team is excited to help Caesars stay ahead of the game, as they work to expand their sports betting, digital and mobile offerings into newly regulated markets."
One of the main perks of Caesars online gaming is the Total Rewards VIP program. Already implemented at their Las Vegas sportsbook locations, players can earn credits when they bet online or in-person. The integrated platform allows for exclusive online bonuses and rewards that can be redeemed at the physical sportsbook or vice versa.
